Registration
To become a member, you will need to register with us. Registration is simple, fast and completely free. Opinion
Once you’ve registered, we urge that you go to the “Opinion” section and provide us with your thoughts on key issues. This section regularly gets updated with new issues, so we request you to visit it every few days to check if something new has been added. We also request that you update this section whenever you feel your opinion on a certain issue has changed.
Scrapbook
Your registration details and opinions provide only a standardised view of your citizen profile and we’re sure there must be so much more you’d like to express about yourself. That’s where scrapbooks come in. You can write more about yourself so other citizens know you better or you could write about an issue (or several issues) that touch your heart. You can also use this as a diary and constantly add your thoughts or give updates on your activities.
Member Search
Members of pehleindia.com can search for other members based on several standard parameters. The search result returns a list of members and you can view member details of any of those members. To communicate with them, you will need to request them to join your network.
Your Network
This is a list of pehleindia.com members that you can directly communicate with using our messaging system. You can add to, or remove from, this list of members whenever you wish to. Once you’ve come across a member profile you find interesting and wish to have one-to-one conversations with, you can click on the “Invite to join your network” link which automatically sends them a request on your behalf. If the member accepts your request, you will be sent a notification and that member will appear on your network list – as will you on that member’s list.
Messaging
You can communicate with members in your network through our one-to-one messaging system. Simply go to your network list and click on the profile of the member you would like to communicate with – you will be presented with a screen to send that member a message. This feature is particularly helpful in having private conversations without disclosing your contact information.
Discussion Board
A discussion board helps in conducting public discussions on issues that are of interest to you. Even if you do not wish to post a message, it is extremely helpful in understanding more about other members. Discussion boards are accessible by non-members too, so if you feel there is an interesting discussion you’d like to point to on other forums or websites, you can copy the URL from your browser address bar and paste it in your article or comment.
Personal URL
This URL is a link to your citizen profile that can be accessed even by non-members. You can send this out to your friends, add it in your email signature or even point to it from your blogs or personal websites. We provide you this link once you’ve registered.
